HAWEN PROJECT CASE · KENYA

QT4-15 Automatic Block Making Machine Project for a Customer in Kenya

Customized with a Mortarless Device for top-and-bottom interlocking solid block production.

Another HAWEN concrete block production solution is on its way to Africa. In September 2026, a QT4-15 automatic concrete block making machine completed final inspection and container loading at our factory and was shipped to a customer in Kenya.

Designed around a 980 × 560 mm production pallet, the QT4-15 provides a practical solution for customers looking for stable automatic block production with flexible product options. For this project, the production line was configured according to the Kenyan customer's specific block requirements and production plan.

Why QT4-15 for This Kenya Block Production Project?

The customer was looking for a concrete block production solution that could balance production efficiency, equipment investment and product flexibility.

The QT4-15 automatic block machine with a 980 × 560 mm pallet system provides the customer with the flexibility to manufacture different concrete products by changing block molds. This makes the production line suitable for responding to different product demands in the local construction market.

However, this customer was not only interested in conventional concrete blocks. One of the important products in their production plan was a special solid block with an interlocking structure. This required HAWEN to provide an additional customized solution beyond the standard machine configuration.

Mortarless Device for Interlocking Solid Block Production

One of the key customizations of this Kenya project is the Mortarless Device installed on the QT4-15 production line.

Together with the specially designed block mold, this configuration allows the machine to manufacture solid blocks featuring interlocking profiles on both the upper and lower surfaces. The matching profiles allow the blocks to interlock vertically when they are stacked during construction.

This gives the customer an additional product option beyond conventional flat-surface concrete blocks and allows the production line to better respond to different construction requirements in the customer's market.

More importantly, the configuration was not only checked mechanically. HAWEN produced actual interlocking block samples during factory testing to verify the forming result before shipment.

From Customer Requirements to Machine Assembly

Before production, our technical team confirmed the machine configuration, pallet size, target block type and mold requirements with the customer. The production team then prepared the main machine, hydraulic system, feeding system and related components according to the confirmed project configuration.

During assembly, the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems were checked step by step. The customized block production configuration was also installed and adjusted so that the complete line could be tested as a working production system rather than simply as individual equipment.

An Urgent Production Schedule

Delivery time was another important requirement of this project. The customer completed the payment at the end of July 2026 and informed our team that the equipment was needed as soon as possible for the project in Kenya.

After receiving the payment, HAWEN immediately coordinated the production schedule and gave priority to component preparation, assembly and inspection of this QT4-15 line.

Although the delivery schedule was tight, the normal assembly, commissioning and testing procedures were not skipped. Our production and technical teams worked together to move the project forward while maintaining the required inspection process.

Factory Commissioning and Hot Testing Before Shipment

Completing the machine assembly does not mean that the equipment is immediately ready for delivery. Before shipment, the complete production line went through commissioning and inspection at the HAWEN factory.

Our technical team then carried out hot testing with actual production materials. During the test, we checked the operation of the main machine, material feeding, vibration and pressing process, demolding performance and block forming results.

Special attention was also given to the customer's customized interlocking block production. Actual block samples were produced during the test, allowing our engineers to check the shape, forming quality and interlocking profile before the equipment left the factory.

This factory testing process helps identify and adjust potential issues before shipment and provides the customer with a machine configuration that has already been tested under actual production conditions.

From Order Confirmation to Container Loading

Late July 2026 Customer completed the payment and confirmed the urgent delivery requirement.
August 2026 Machine production, component preparation and assembly were carried out.
Factory Testing Commissioning and hot testing were completed with actual block production.
Mid-September 2026 Final inspection, packing and container loading were completed for shipment to Kenya.

Carefully Packed and Loaded for Shipment to Kenya

After the QT4-15 production line passed the factory testing and final inspection, the equipment entered the packing and container loading stage.

The main machine and auxiliary equipment were packed according to their structure and transportation requirements. During loading, our team arranged the equipment position and secured the components inside the container to reduce movement during long-distance sea transportation.

In mid-September 2026, the loading work was completed and the equipment was ready for shipment to Kenya, marking the completion of the manufacturing stage of this project.
