HAWEN QT9-15 Block Making Machine Shipped to Kolkata, India

A new beginning for cooperation and joint development of the Indian market.

On October 15, 2026, HAWEN Machinery dispatched a QT9-15 block making machine for shipment to Kolkata, India. Equipped with a face mix system and an automatic mould changing device, this machine combines a 1350 × 750 mm production pallet with a maximum forming height of 250 mm.

This delivery marks a new beginning in HAWEN’s cooperation with its Indian partner, laying the foundation for both sides to work together in developing the Indian market.

Project Overview

Maximum Forming Height of 250 mm

The QT9-15 supplied for this project uses a 1350 × 750 mm production pallet and can manufacture concrete products with a maximum forming height of 250 mm.

This forming capability gives the customer additional flexibility when planning product specifications. With suitable moulds, the machine can accommodate different concrete block designs, including products requiring a height of up to 250 mm.

Face Mix System for Double-Layer Paver Production

This QT9-15 is equipped with a face mix system, supporting the production of concrete paving products with a separate surface layer.

By feeding the face material separately from the base material, the system allows different materials to be used for the surface and structural layers. This provides flexibility in surface colour and finish while maintaining a base mix suited to the product’s structural requirements.

The face mix configuration expands the production options available to the customer when developing paving products for the local market.

Automatic Mould Changing Device for Product Changeovers

An automatic mould changing device is also included in this machine’s configuration.

Mould changes are an important part of switching between concrete products. The automatic mould changing device assists the mould replacement process, making changeovers more convenient when production moves from one product specification to another.

Together, the face mix system and automatic mould changing device give this QT9-15 a configuration suited to a varied product plan.

Loading in a 40-foot Open-Top Container

A 40-foot open-top container was used for this shipment to Kolkata. The open-top arrangement provides crane access from above during equipment loading.

The loading process included protective wrapping, crane handling and positioning of the equipment inside the container. The photographs record these stages at the factory, showing the preparation of the main machine and packaged equipment for transportation.

Securing the Equipment for Transportation

Steel wire ropes, wire rope clips and turnbuckles secure the packaged equipment to the container’s lashing points, while straps provide additional restraint for individual units. These restraints help limit movement during transportation and reduce the risk of equipment colliding with adjacent units or the container walls. Protective wrapping also helps protect equipment surfaces from scuffs and abrasion during handling and transit.
