Project Background

From Stable Production to a Downstream Handling Bottleneck

In May 2026, a customized Hawen Automatic Offline Cuber System arrived at the production facility of a long-term customer in Vietnam. In early June, Hawen engineers were dispatched to the site for installation, commissioning, operational testing and full integration with the existing concrete block production line.

The customer had previously invested in a Hawen QT12-15 Automatic Block Making Machine and achieved stable production with satisfactory output. As production volumes continued to increase, the collection and stacking stage gradually became the main bottleneck.

Core issue: the locally produced two-hole concrete bricks exited the block making machine in an upright position, making automatic collection and stable cubing much more difficult than standard block products.

Why Upright 2-Hole Bricks Are Difficult to Stack Automatically

Due to the brick geometry and molding orientation, the two-hole concrete bricks were discharged in an upright position. While this was suitable for the forming process, it created significant difficulty during collection, transfer and stacking.

Conventional stacking systems struggled to arrange these bricks efficiently. The result was unstable stacks, frequent manual intervention, higher labor intensity and reduced overall production efficiency.
